High fashion inspired, summer flavored branding featuring custom illustrations and hand-lettering for a style-conscious beach product

Melissa Cricks developed BandaBeau, a nylon and spandex band designed to secure windswept towels to your beach lounger, as a fashion conscious solution for women who enjoy being pool or beach side. BandaBeau, which is offered in a range of beautiful prints, also includes a hidden pocket feature that allows the user to keep a small stash of cash and keys secure while swimming or walking the shore.

In creating the visual identity for BandaBeau, we wanted to celebrate the fashionable, summer beach nature of the brand. We crafted a feminine, flowing logo type that recalls the strong brandmarks of high fashion houses, the ‘B’ mark referencing the design of the BandaBeau itself. The brand’s primary color, a fresh and summery Aqua, can’t help but to remind you of the sparkling, jewel-like waters of favorite summer retreats. We also created a series of custom illustrations demonstrating the use of the product for their marketing materials.
